Crystals for Sadness: How to Shift from Sadness to Happiness

In life, there are always two sides of the coin. Just as you can’t have light without darkness, you can’t have happiness without sadness. As much as we may wish we never experienced feelings of sadness, it is important to recognize that these lower vibrations allow us to recognize and celebrate the higher vibrations. That being said, it’s important to learn the tools to pick yourself up when you are feeling down so you do not get stuck in sadness or darkness for too long.

This mini crystal program for addressing feelings of sadness will explore how to shift out of that state and into a new state to help you to clear, heal, and reprogram your energy. Through reflecting, journaling, energy clearing, reprogramming and intention-setting, you will arrive at a new, higher state by the end of it all. You can use this program for long-term emotional healing, or as an on-the-spot treatment for when you’re feeling down.

So are you ready to break through sadness and tap into happiness? Let’s get started.

Reflection + Journaling

Why it matters: Before you can move past and heal from an experience or emotion, it’s helpful to take some time to understand why you feel that way and how that emotion impacts your life. Through the following prompts and journaling exercises, you will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how sadness shows up  in your life. This reflection period is the first step to healing, so make sure to set aside some time to this part of the practice.

How to Get Started: Reflect on the past month and answer the following prompts by writing honestly and without judgement. DO NOT EDIT YOURSELF. We all have the tendency to do this on paper. But think about it this way: would you rather these thoughts and feelings be out on the paper or stuck in your energy field?

  • How is sadness impacting your life?
  • When was the last time you experienced sadness in the last month?
  • What does sadness look like when it’s happening to you?
  • When you are in a state of sadness, how do you react? Do you cry, shut down, cover it up, etc?
  • Does this same type of situation or experience keep happening over and over again? What’s the pattern? What’s the cause?
  • How did that experience make you feel on a physical and emotional/mental level?
  • How would moving past feelings of sadness change your life?
